The Lebanese Tobacco and Tobacco Control Administration (Regie) announced in a statement that “its anti-smuggling agency seized quantities of smuggled electronic cigarettes, smuggled and counterfeit tobacco, smuggled cigarettes, smuggled national tobacco, smuggled Ajami tobacco, and counterfeit cigars, as a result of raids carried out in the areas of Al-Tal, Al-Zahriyeh, Karam Al-Qalla, and Tripoli in the north.” She recalled that "these raids are part of its ongoing efforts to combat smuggled and counterfeit tobacco products," noting that "reports of arrests of violators have been written and are being considered by the competent judiciary."
